Tao Yin is the common ancestor between yoga and Qi Gong. A Taoist practice of flexibility, it originated in China thousands of years ago as a way to keep the body healthy and Qi flowing.
Tao Yin combines the powerful asana practice of yoga with the effortless flow of Qi Gong. Taoist yoga was called “Tao Yin” which means to guide and direct the vital principle energy through the body. As part of traditional Chinese Medicine, Tao Yin was used as a way to keep the body’s life force energy circulating and flowing.
The practice opens the energy gates in the body by combining breath, flow, stretch, and awareness synergistically. The combination of stretch and flow awakens the energy in your body.
