Yin Yoga Workshop

There's a particular kind of tired that doesn't ease up at the end of the day. You close your laptop, sit down, and your nervous system stays a few steps ahead of you. The body knows the day is over. The mind didn't get the memo.

This workshop is for that. Yin Yoga: The Art of Deep Rest is a three-hour practice, co-taught by Lee Holden and Suzanne Bryant, designed to do something the mind alone can't do: actually slow down.

The premise underneath it is simple. Calm is something the body teaches the mind, not the other way around. You can't think your way into rest. But the body has a side door. A long stretch, held long enough, gives the nervous system nowhere to go but down. Out of fight-or-flight. Into something quieter.

Yin Yoga is one of the most direct paths through that door. Yin and Qi Gong share a common root in Tao Yin, the Taoist movement practice that informed both. Yin was always meant to be taught through the lens of meridians and energy, but in most modern studios that lens has been dropped. Lee brings it back. Suzanne brings the nervous system science alongside it. Same body, same calm, two ways in.

Event Details:

Registration Opens: Monday, May 25th

Workshop Date: Sunday, May 31st

What's Included:

  • Two complete Yin practices, one led by Lee, one by Suzanne. Full sequences you can return to on your own, any time the day gets ahead of you. The shapes are accessible to every body. Yin works in sensation, not range of motion, so flexibility isn't a prerequisite.
  • A closing meditation led by Suzanne. A guided drop into deep rest at the end of the workshop, sealing where the practice has already taken you. Not getting you somewhere new. Letting you stay where you are, long enough that the body remembers how to find it again.
  • A conversation on meridians and energy anatomy between Lee and Suzanne. Kept high level and felt. Just enough of a map that the next time you're in a deep stretch, you know what's being worked, and why.
  • A live Zoom Q&A in the days after. Workshops can land hard in the moment and slip away by Friday. The Q&A is the catch. Bring what came up in your own practice and the spots you're stuck.

Who this is for:

Anyone who's been pushing for a long time and can't find the off switch. Anyone who's tried meditation and breathing apps and found those approaches asking the mind to do the very thing the mind isn't willing to do. Qi Gong practitioners who want a complementary yin-to-yin practice. Yoga practitioners curious about the energetic side of Yin without a technical deep dive. If you're skeptical of energy talk, the practice works powerfully on the body and nervous system alone.

You'll walk away with a felt sense of calm, two routines for life, and a reminder that rest isn't something you achieve. It's a place the body knows how to find, when you give it long enough and let it lead.

Can't Make it Live?

Don't worry. We'll post a replay of the live session afterward, with lifetime access to the workshop. Whether you can't make it live or your internet has other plans that day, you won't miss a thing.
